Today we were lucky enough to have two educators from the Christchurch City Libraries team come and lead our students in a session titled, 'Cyber Citizenship' to support our inquiry about the Internet and Being Safe Online. We learnt safe and appropriate ways of being an online citizen. We explored the concept of citizenship at home, at school, and in the physical and digital community. We discussed ways of avoiding common problems and had some creative fun.
We used an app called Chatterpix during our session. The students really enjoyed this and we will be downloading this on our school iPads for our students to use. Follow this link if you would like to download this on devices at home. Chatterpix App
We followed this up by watching a video about sharing personal details online.
